2025 WIRQ Lunch

We are thrilled to invite you once again to the 2025 WIRQ Lunch to be held on Friday, 24 October 2025 at the Sofitel, Brisbane.

The WIRQ Lunch is shaping up to be our biggest and best yet! You do not want to miss this one and we expect that the tickets will not last long!

This year, we are extremely excited to be joined by Curtis McGrath OAM, a 4 x Paralympic Gold Medallist.

A true story of triumph over tragedy, Curtis McGrath is a para-canoeist like no other. In 2012, as a young soldier, Curtis’ life changed forever when he stepped on a homemade landmine. The then 24-year-old tragically lost both his legs in the blast… what comes next is a true story of grit, determination and the power of a positive outlook. Curtis’ lifesaving treatment after his accident was at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

The RBWH Foundation funds the development of breakthrough and innovative medical treatments, cutting-edge diagnostic tools and methods to advance early detections and diagnoses and provides resources to enhance patient experience and well-being.
